CONSERVING, SUSTAINING, PROTECTING PALAWAN

At the hostels, we treat our own water to government effluent standards before reusing or discharging, minimizing our impact on the local environment. With Outpost X in Linapacan, we are focusing primarily on coral sustainability through providing moors on various islands for boat anchors and also on trash collecting, primarily plastic waste. 

The local communities of Linapacan and their neighboring islands are a haven for fishing, and we support local fishermen by buying their fresh fish, which we cook for you! We also buy vegetables and fresh fruit from local communities, creating a true farm-to-table experience that benefits all. 

Outpost X will be heavily involved with the local schools of Linapacan as well, providing school supplies and other necessities to improve the local education system, just as we do for school systems in El Nido and Coron through our hostels. 

Guests that choose to stay with us at Outpost X directly contribute to sustaining the coral reefs, beautiful beaches, fishermen, families, islands and locals across Palawan.
